The Lady Slipper is the fifth wild flower that I have painted in the Flowers of Montana series. I really enjoyed working on this very different little beauty. This is a wild Orchid that grows in the Northwest. I decided to do things a little differently with this piece. I used watercolors that have a pearlescent flake in them and other metal minerals to give off different effects as the light hits it at different angles. This original was also painted on a aqua panel and will be the first large piece that will be clear coated with the Originalz secret sauce.
